For your team

ORTIE / Permanent and temporary colleagues

A starting point for new colleagues too.

Temporary workers, freelancers and new employees need a way to join the team’s working routine.

RECOGNISABLE PRESSURE

The work continues. The overview gets scattered.

A new colleague wants to help but does not know the agreements or work chats. An experienced employee has to explain the current situation between other tasks. With changing staff, that explanation starts over repeatedly.

Why Ortie fits here

A familiar routine helps people join the work. The organisation configures access and routines. New colleagues use the same handovers, tasks and agreements as the team without first collecting separate information channels.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE WORKING DAY

From the first check to the next colleague.

  1. Provide appropriate access

The supervisor invites a colleague with a name, role and, if needed, an access period for the relevant location.

  2. Start with the shared routine

Review the previous handover and working agreements. The location has configured the checklists; temporary staff do not need to build them.

  3. Review departures and open work

Manage or end access when someone leaves. Check open actions so it remains clear who can take over.

THE PRACTICAL VALUE

What becomes easier in the working day?

For the new colleague

A findable starting point for work at this location.

For permanent staff

Less reliance on separate explanations of the current situation.

For the location

Appropriate access and a familiar work structure as staffing changes.

MAKE THE VALUE TANGIBLE

Measure it in your own workplace.

Include a real temporary colleague. See which practical information they find independently, what explanation is still needed and whether open work remains clear after staff changes. Ortie does not replace professional onboarding.

What to assess in a pilot

Information that belongs with the teamwork

Use Ortie for tasks, work routines and communication between colleagues. Client records, medical reports and sensitive customer or HR information belong in the appropriate systems. Private To-do is for work actions too, not records.

BEFORE YOU START

Good questions. Clear answers.

Does this work for agency staff and freelancers?

Yes. Supervisors can invite colleagues and set temporary access. The organisation decides which team and location they can access.

Does an agency get access to every client location?

No. Using Ortie does not automatically grant access to other organisations. Each organisation controls its own access.

Does this replace onboarding?

No. Ortie helps people find practical work information. Professional instructions and authorisations still need to be arranged appropriately.

START WITH YOUR WORK

Does this sound like your working day?

Start with one team and a routine that now causes uncertainty. Discuss the setup before deciding to expand.
